Travelling!

[Archived in Entry]

[Dickson's Blogathon] I will be leaving with Mack for Seattle in about a day to attend the Gnomedex conference and although its great to be travelling, it always seems to be overshadowed by some deadline and in this case, two deadlines. On one hand, I've been preparing all the blackberries at Golf Score Central for the Telus tournament (I will be missing the first day of the tournament) and on the otherhand, I've been working on our Paramagnus project.

Some related posts from Technorati and Google.

Dickson's Blogathon: Paramagnus (via Cosmos)

Ted Leung on the air Ted Leung on the air: In the meantime, I've collected some posts about the talk: Kitten Fluff Just a Gwai Lo MasterMaq Tris Hussey BloggingGnomedex Darren Barefoot Blogaholics Seattleduck Derek Miller The Scobelizer Bunny I'm obviously biased, but I am really proud (as if I had much to do with it) of her. Engadget - www.engadget.com Engadget - www.engadget.com: Its Tablet PC brain acts as interface and brain, with specially programmed control software written in .NET to make this one mean mobile podcasting machine. (via Cosmos)

Dickson's Blogathon: We finished our first keynote with Dave Winer and during the break, Mack and I decided to do our first showcase of the Podbot. The wireless network is giving us a little problem but we were still able to drive it around a little and it got quite some camera attention. (via Cosmos)

Lee Wilkins Lee Wilkins: Many people have both supportive and not of Adam Curry’s keynote at the end of Gnomedex 5.0. (you can listen here) (via Cosmos)

IrishEyes: GNOMEDEX -- Considering the reach of social networking, the on-message of well-polished electronic presentations archived online and the cost of flying from Europe to Gnomedex in Seattle, it's hard to justify a long-haul jaunt to an event anymore, especially if you're serious about reducing activities that contribute to global warming. Take Julie Leung's compelling presentation on "Blogging as a Social Tool". (via Cosmos)

A Welsh Born Icon: Microsoft's next version of its browser, Internet Explorer 7, will make it easier for people to keep automatically aware of website updates. IE7 will have an orange button on the toolbar which will light up when it detects a Really Simple Sndication (RSS) feed on a site. (via Cosmos)

http://martin.eclecticblogs.ca  EclecticBlogs: The office is really nice and a great place for Mack and Dickson to do business. Unfortunately, time this night was short and I had to say goodbye to the kids...at least until Friday. (via Cosmos)

Mack D. Male Mack D. Male: and finally as you might have guessed,  Longhorn really excites me, I certainly hope it doesn't disappoint! I was too young to appreciate Windows 95 when it launched, but the same will not be true for Longhorn! (via Cosmos)

[Blog.dicksonwong.com] Dickson's Blogathon: We also met up with two Microsoft employees afterwards for a drink where they gave a glimpse into what its like to work on the Microsoft campus and I must say Microsoft really knows how to treat their employees. From discounts, trips, membership into clubs to the daily little things- I would imagine after working for Microsoft it would be hard to work for another company unless they provide similar perks.
