Five fab photo printers

[Learning Community Group's Research Network :: Main Page] They simply made it possible to print more colors within the boundaries in order to produce smoother tones and better reproduce colors. It's only recently that the idea of expanding the boundaries of the gamut has trickled down from professional offset printing (such as Pantone's Hexachrome HiFi color set, which added orange and green inks) to photo prosumer models such as the Epson Stylus Photo R800 (adds red and blue) and the Canon i9900 (red and green) and iP8500. Plus, the new Epson Stylus Photo R2400 and the HP Photosmart 8750 add extra grays into the mix.

[Magicpixel.com.au] epson stylus pro 4800 blog by pete walsh, magicpixel: Someone posted that it would be great if Epson produced printers with a spare couple of bays for ink carts, allowing the user to configure and run whatever suits them in those bays, maybe both Photo and Matte black, maybe a varnish/gloss optimizer. These could all be Epson products of course, or third parties who had paid for the privilege!
