[All Things] Because those deals were often pretty good, I wasn’t so much upset at OfficeMax as simply bewildered why they were working at cross-purposes with their brick-and-mortar stores. When I went in today, I was expecting the same thing, but this time the sale was at the store, too, maybe because a coupon wasn’t involved.

Engadget: “Refilling printer ink cartridges: crime?”
[Is there a PC Doctor in the house? » The PC Doctors Technoblog - Help is just a click away!] “A recent court victory was handed to Lexmark, which reportedly gives them the power under contract and patent law to enforce the “single use only” policy written on the side of Lexmark printer cartridge boxes. This means you could technically face legal charges for refilling a Lexmark printer cartridge with third-party ink.”

MrSID vs. TIFF
[Archived in Entry]
[Spatially Adjusted - Blog about ESRI and GIS] These MrSID images are great because they compress huge raster datasets down to a fraction of their size, but in doing that they cause problems.
